Rhinoplasty surgery is an excellent way to address aesthetic and functional nasal issues by reshaping areas of the nose. While rhinoplasty is a safe procedure, the work required to accomplish excellent results can be quite intense.

Rhinoplasty often involves the controlled and precise fracturing of bones and the cutting and reshaping of cartilage. This causes swelling to occur, and that swelling will last for a fair amount of time. It can take about two years for all of the swelling to subside. However, a majority of the swelling will dissipate in a few months, so the nose will not have an odd appearance during those two years.
